Video: Coming to America for the BIG Surprise

By: leelefever on November 28, 2006 - 8:19am

Man oh man, did the 50th wedding anniversary surprise work perfectly. After planning on it for over a year with my brothers(even before we left) it was so wonderful to see my parents' reaction - particularly my Mom's.

As I described before, we told my parents that we would be abroad until Christmas and would miss their anniversary party. In order to understand how big of a surprise it was when we were revealed, you just have to watch the video. I can't watch it without getting a little misty.

How can you *not* get teary-eyed watching that! :)

It will be interesting to see how the US feels to you after being gone for so long. When we came back from Costa Rica after just 10 days the US felt very loud and busy. After living in Fiji, when I came back, everyone/thing seemed to go very fast and there was so much cement everywhere (I just kept thinking, where's the ground?).

Anyways...let us (your readers) know your thoughts as you travel across the country if you can.

Looking forward to having you back in Seattle, but I will definitely miss traveling vicariously through your blog....

That was a wonderful scene; thanks for going to the effort of sharing it even as you were living it!

Hi Lee, Sachi The surprise worked marvelously I see. Not hard to guess why it makes you misty-eyed watching it. Thanks for going through the troubel of sharing it here.
